Position Title: Data Entry
Location: Sana'a, Yemen.

Background:

Qatar Red Crescent Society is a nonprofit organization, assists and empowers vulnerable communities within Qatar and around the world by offering life-saving assistance in emergencies, increasing disaster preparedness and resilience to future disasters, improving health care services, contributing to social rehabilitation and capacity building while preserving human dignity, Qatar Red Crescent is currently recruiting for the role of a Data Entry. 

Job Purpose: 

The Data Entry is responsible for collecting key health data, ensuring the quality of the data, and carrying out other data management tasks of project.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain policies and procedures for data entries and collection, secure data with authorized access for the staff, and maintain confidentiality of personal data.
  • Create and maintain databases and spreadsheets that meet operational requirements.
  • Design and establish data collection forms using Word, Excel, Google Sheets, Google Forms, and kobo toolbox.
  • Enter, clean, sort and data validation of the beneficiaries according to the work plan.
  • Compile, aggregate, and prepare data to be fed to HIS, iPortal & RH systems.
  • Complete RH reports and share reports on time as per agreed deadlines.
  • Respond to information requests and provide basic data analysis and findings on a weekly and monthly basis to authorized staff.
  • Responsible for the quality and maintenance of data entry. This includes creating forms with proper validation rules, reviewing, verifying data for accuracy by checking and comparing source documentation, and correcting any inaccurate data.
  • Provide timely feedback to M&E Officer with respect to data quality issues such accuracy and completeness so it will be corrected on time as necessary.
  • Maintain proper filing system and storage of documents and ensure the security of all documents whereby only relevant staff have access to needed information. 
  • Perform other tasks as requested by the M&E team. 

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or computer sciences or statistics or any other related field.
  • At least two years of relevant work experience in non-governmental or humanitarian organizations within the context of an emergency operation.

Essential skills required: 

  • Strong skills in other Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, Access, Outlook).
  • Strong skills in data collection tools (Kobo Toolbox, Google Forms).
  • Good experience designing interactive dashboards (Power BI or Tableau).
  • Willingness and ability to dramatically change work practices and increase work hours in the event of emergencies.
  • Strong representational and communication skills.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Adaptability and flexibility.
  • Health and nutrition background is preferred.
