GENERAL JOB SUMMARY: Executing activities related to monitoring and evaluation of programme activities based on developed tools, reflecting on complexity of the activity (such as safety, security, logistic, Code of Conduct and safeguarding). The work will be conducted based on the programme needs with a notice and availability check min. 24 hours prior the activity. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 

  1. Perform field-monitoring by using standard monitoring and evaluation tools and assist the project team in strengthening the accountability mechanisms at the project level, 
  2. Ensure quality of data and other information collected in the field and its accurate recording through paper documentation, voice recording and/or data entry tools (e.g. KoBo forms), 
  3. Ensure anonymity and informed consent of respondents, follow confidentiality and security procedures to ensure respondent privacy, 
  4. Support project staff in collecting data during field assessments and surveys, 
  5. Support the reception and documentation of feedback from beneficiaries and other stakeholders during field monitoring visits, 
  6. Support MEAL Assistant in information provision sessions to beneficiaries in the field on CFRM, 
  7. Participate in training sessions and team meetings as required by the MEAL department, 
  8. Make efficient use of devices used for data collection and manage the devices well at the field level, 
  9. Implement ethical principles in tasks and duties, adhere to all policies and guidelines and comply with Code of Conduct while performing the responsibilities, 
  10. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or Project management.

ACCOUNTABILITY:

REPORTS DIRECTLY TO: Profiling/Intention survey Coordinator

WORKS DIRECTLY WITH: Data Management, M&E Assistant.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE: 

  • At least six months' experience in field humanitarian work.
  • Extensive survey-related expertise and specialized understanding.
  • Previous experience working in NGO's.
  • Previous knowledge of using KOBO tool
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Ability and willingness to change work practices and hours, and work with incoming teams in the event of major emergencies.
