Mission/ Core purpose of the Job

A dynamic and motivated entry-level Billing Engineer to join our Information Systems (IS) department. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Maintain, enhance, and optimize billing systems to ensure accurate and reliable operations.
• Oversee Roaming, FMS, RA, and Interconnect Systems, optimizing revenue streams and minimizing leakages.
• Assist in the development, maintenance, and enhancement of billing systems, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in billing operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand billing requirements and implement solutions that align with business needs.
• Conduct regular analysis and audits of billing processes to identify and rectify discrepancies or inefficiencies.
• Support the integration of new products/services into existing billing systems, ensuring seamless implementation and functionality.
• Contribute to the design and testing of billing system upgrades or enhancements.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving billing-related issues and escalations.
• Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in billing systems and telecom domains.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to streamline billing processes, troubleshoot system issues, and drive efficiency.
• Conduct RA audits, identifying discrepancies, and implementing corrective measures.
• Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes in telecom billing.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and drive system evolution aligned with emerging technologies
• Contribute actively to the continuous improvement and innovation of billing systems, leveraging insights from data analysis and technological advancements to enhance service offerings and support the company's growth trajectory.

Job Requirements 

Education:

•  Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field.

Experience:

• Strong understanding of telecom billing, provisioning, and related systems (e.g., FMS, RA, interconnect systems).
•  Proficiency in database management systems and SQL queries PL-SQL.
• Strong knowledge in UNIX and Linux environments.
• Familiarity with billing software and systems.

Skills 

• Knowledge of billing processes, telecom tariffs, rating, and invoicing.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex billing issues.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• Highly organized with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
