Job Title: Health Consultant
Location: Aden, Yemen (frequent travel to Al-Dalea and other areas as needed)

Hours: Full-Time (biannual contract extendable based on performance and funding)

Job Overview:

As a Health Consultant, you play a crucial role requiring expertise in the healthcare sector. Your responsibilities span from conducting in-depth research based on a good understanding of various complex factors, like stakeholder needs and scientific data, to analyzing this information to improve performance. Your analytical and interpersonal skills will ensure strategies are succinctly conveyed to clients for issue resolution and goal achievement. The candidate will ensure Action For Humanity International’s mobile clinic program is implemented time and efficiently to address the communities’ needs. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Field Supervision: Travel frequently to support health facilities, supervise projects, monitor performance, and address challenges.
  • Project Support: Assist in all project facets, including developing monitoring, evaluation, and reporting systems.
  • Quality Assurance: Oversee quality performance indicators, ensuring compliance with technical standards, best practices, and donor guidelines.
  • Reporting: Provide timely monthly project activity reports.
  • Need Assessment: Evaluate health needs, advocate for resources, and coordinate with relevant authorities.
  • Team Supervision: Provide technical support and supervision of field employees, overseeing their performance and ensuring team cohesion.

Qualifications:

  • University degree in Medicine, Public Health, or related fields.
  • At least 3 years of experience in  coordination and/or management of health programs
  • Proficiency in MS Office and relevant software.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Capable of managing work pressure and collaboratively working within a team.
