Position: CP Data Management Assistant
Location: Taiz
Grade:5
Contract Length: 11 months

The Opportunity:

The Data Management Assistant will be responsible for assisting the Data Management Officer in Taiz in all aspects of information management, ensuring that data is collected, analysed, and archived correctly on a regular basis, and information is managed well to facilitate case management, CP activities, and ensuring data protection and management are well-protected.

Key Areas of Responsibilities: 

Planning

  • Generate statistical reports, graphs, maps, and fulfil projects statistical needs.
  • Provide capacity building on timely and accurate data entry of case files into the database, as well as follow-up information.
  • With officer Support Analyse the data and make a report against the indicators of the program to see the level of the achievement.
  • Report CP data in IMPACT and ensure all figures match those reported on IPTT and other reporting tools
  • Develop simple, user-friendly data reporting tools with consideration for sex, age, and vulnerable groups' disaggregation.
  • Work closely with CO MIS and MEAL to report CP cluster monthly updates using 5W.
  • Work closely with the Case Management team/ MoSAL Social Workers to ensure follow-up monitoring for all children with protection concerns and update the database accordingly.
  • Ensure data related to children is safe and shared following Save the Children's procedures and policies.
  • Carry out the responsibilities of the role in a way that reflects Save the Children's commitment to safeguarding children in accordance with the Child Safeguarding Policy.
  • Adhere to and promote SCI Code of Conduct, Child Safeguarding Policy, and values both inside and outside the workplace.

General

  • Comply with Save the Children policies and practice with respect to child protection, code of conduct, health and safety, equal opportunities and other relevant policies and procedures.
  • Perform other functions relative to Child Protection activities and initiatives that may be assigned by Line Manager.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or relevant studies with experience for at least 3 years in implementing CP program.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Fast and accurate data entry skills.
  • Good understanding of key areas of Child Protection programming, with knowledge of other sectors such as education and health considered an asset.
  • Willingness and ability to work extended hours and adapt to emergencies
  • Commitment to the aims and principles of Save the Children. In particular, a good understanding of the Save the Children mandate and child focus and an ability to ensure this continues to underpin our support
  • Very Good English language skills..
