Position: MEAL Enumerators (Volunteers)
Location: Amran Governorate
Number of volunteers required: 8
Contract Length: 1 month (April 2024)

The Opportunity:

The post holder will undertake to conduct data collection for the endline assessment of a BHA project in Alsawd and Alsawdah Districts. The candidate should have relevant experience, particularly in USAID projects, and possess strong communication skills for community engagement. The goal is to gather essential data to evaluate the project's impact and effectiveness in Health, Nutrition, and WASH sectors, informing future humanitarian assistance efforts.

Key Areas of Responsibilities: 

Data Collection:

  • Conduct household surveys and interviews with community members to collect data on health, nutrition, and WASH indicators using structured questionnaires or survey tools provided.
  • Ensure accurate and timely data collection following the project's protocols and guidelines.

Record and document all collected data efficiently and securely.

  • Verify and cross-check data for consistency and accuracy.

Community Engagement:

  • Engage with community members in Alsawd and Alsawdah Districts effectively to explain the purpose of data collection and ensure their participation.
  • Build rapport and trust with community members to facilitate the data collection process.
  • Address any questions or concerns from community members regarding the project or data collection activities.

Compliance and Quality Assurance:

  • Adhere to ethical standards and data protection protocols during data collection and management.
  • Ensure compliance with USAID and project-specific guidelines and protocols.
  • Participate in quality assurance processes, including regular checks and audits, to maintain data integrity and reliability.

Essential Requirements:

  • Previous experience in working in the sectors of Health and Nutrition under in USAID projects is preferred within health, nutrition, WASH sectors is required.
  • A high school degree is required.
  • To be from Alsawd and Alsawdah Districts is required.
  • Work experience at field level in volunteering with an NGO is preferred.
  • Very good communication skills within rural areas at the district/ village level.
  • A confident, flexible and initiative-taking attitude with the ability to work independently, to be proactive in working with others, a willingness and commitment to work long hours.
