ABOUT THE FOUNDATION:

Yemen Development Foundation (YDF) is a non-governmental, and non-profit foundation. It was established in 2016 by a group of development professionals with aims to empower most vulnerable, poor and disadvantaged populations. It is professionally managed NGO, active in individual and community related issues. The primary focus of YDF is on the problems of the poor; in their struggle to obtain a life of justice and dignity. Environment stabilization, humanitarian work, education, water and sanitation, food security and empowerment of the community for self-governance are the most important components of its mission. Gender justice, natural resource management, and livelihood security are YDF primary areas of concern. Maternal and child health, nutrition, child rights and youth empowerment are also within the main focus of YDF, due to the belief that women are a pillar in society, and that   children and youth are the foundation for a brighter future for Yemen.

Job Description/ Key responsibilities: 

1.    Ensure that all relevant HR documents are in place in a timely manner.
2.    Conduct the essential training for the new comers. 
3.    Follow up the probation evaluation and annual appraisal. 
4.    Work regularly on (headcount, over hours, turnover, absenteeism, salary cost, and salary structure) and update accordingly
5.    Provide quality HR advice and support to YDF staff with regards to policy compliance and HR practices either face to face or remotely.
6.    Support and coordinate the recruitment process in coordination with the recruiting manager.
7.    Provide technical supervision and advice to the HR staff or focal points in the field offices.
8.    Carry out regular monitoring and field support visits to the project offices.
9.    Provide counseling on policies and procedures.
10.    Create and implement effective onboarding plan.
11.    Develop training and development programs.
12.    Support the management of disciplinary and grievance issues.
13.    Maintain employee records (attendance, staff data etc.) according to policy and legal requirements.
14.    Prepare monthly payroll sheet and ensure that salaries match YDF Scale.
15.    Review employment and working conditions to ensure legal compliance.
16.    Ensure that confidentiality related to staff issues and HR matters is upheld according to the best practices of YDF.
17.    Respect and follow YDF policies.
18.    Perform other related duties as required.

Job Requirements & qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources studies, administrative management or similar studies.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in similar position, experience with NGO is an asset. 
  • Good Communication skills,
  • Ability to work in a team as well with others,
  • Knowledge of HR systems and ability to meet deadlines,
  • Ability to contribute individually to greater goal.
