On behalf of our client, we are looking for an experienced Logistics Manager who will be responsible for organizing the storage and distribution of goods for the organization. Roles and Responsibilities
- Plan and oversee the efficient storage and distribution of goods, managing processes from loading to delivery.
- Establish and maintain a robust system for product identification, traceability, and collaboration with various departments.
- Analyze the financial impact of proposed logistics changes, optimizing routing, shipping modes, and carrier selection.
- Supervise the logistics warehouse, ensuring optimal stock levels in coordination with Sales, Production, Purchasing, and Finance.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive system for returned goods management, including disposal and record-keeping.
- Monitor cash invoice collections, resolving any issues promptly.
- Implement a vehicle tracking and route planning system to maximize efficiency.
- Oversee company vehicle maintenance, fuel consumption, and lifecycle management.
- Coordinate with the Administration Department for licenses, renewals, and cancellations of company vehicles and drivers.
- Optimize storage space utilization, ensuring compliance with refrigeration and storing standards.
- Plan warehouse design and upgrades, considering safety standards and collaborating with relevant stakeholders.
- Manage binning, labeling, maintenance, space, and housekeeping in alignment with safety standards.
- Promote and implement Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) regulations within warehouses.
- Create and manage working schedules and attendance for the dispatch team.
- Allocate dispatch teams and transportation efficiently to maximize operations.
- Examine orders, notify vendors of issues, and ensure timely product arrivals at designated destinations.
- Conduct physical checks of received goods, ensuring accurate stock updates and documentation.
- Enforce company policies and procedures in delivery and dispatch activities.
- Document and resolve logistical systems and procedural issues, identifying areas for improvement.
- Prepare and review department reports on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Uphold the highest standards of professional conduct, ethics, and integrity in service provision.
- Undertake any other relevant tasks assigned by the department director.
- Assist in preparing and monitoring budgets for the Logistics Department.
- Contribute to setting the annual operating plan for the Logistics Department.
- Plan and maintain departmental work systems, procedures, and policies for optimum performance.
- Monitor and conduct annual performance reviews for logistics staff, addressing training needs.
Skills - Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business Administration.
- 7+ years of experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a similar role.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and relevant software applications.
