We are seeking a motivated Tester to join our team on a part-time basis. This entry-level role is designed for candidates who hold a Master’s degree and possess foundational testing skills with 2 to 45 years of relevant experience in any context. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to quality assurance processes, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and develop proficiency in manual and, where applicable, automated testing practices within an organization based in Yemen.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on project requirements and specifications.
• Perform manual testing across web, mobile, or desktop applications, including functional, regression, and exploratory testing.
• Identify, document, and track defects; collaborate with developers to reproduce and verify fixes.
• Assist in creating and maintaining test data and environment configurations.
• Contribute to the design and execution of automated test scripts when applicable, and learn to implement basic automation tasks.
• Participate in daily stand-ups and agile ceremonies to communicate status, risks, and blockers.
• Provide input on quality metrics and help drive continuous improvement in testing processes.
• Adhere to organizational standards, methodologies, and best practices for software testing and quality assurance.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Master’s degree (any field; preferred in a relevant discipline) from an accredited institution.
• Entry-level to mid-level experience in software testing or quality assurance; flexible to applicants with diverse backgrounds who demonstrate strong testing aptitude.
• Proven ability to understand system behavior, user requirements, and acceptance criteria.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in local language is a plus.
• Familiarity with basic testing concepts (functional, non-functional, regression) and defect tracking tools.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work effectively in a part-time arrangement and collaborate with remote or on-site team members as required.
